Born in 2001, Mertens discovered his passion for electronic music at 17.
As he grew and honed his skills, he began working with Jeton Records and Ferhat Albayrak, learning the ins and outs of music production and DJing. The youngster was inspired by his idols, including Jeff Mills, Carl Cox, Len Faki and Christian Smith, and began to focus on creating his unique sound.
In 2019, Mertens released "Infliction" and "Escape Array" on Jeton Records, earning the radio support of notable artists such as DJ Rush and Marco Carola. His “jazz house” remix of "Mahmut Orhan - Hero", released under the ULTRA Music label in 2020, and the 4-song EP "Klaxon" with Jeton Records cemented his place in the electronic music world. DJ Rush played youngster’s “Eniac” in his legendary EPM Podcast, and without a doubt, he succeeded in attracting various global DJs. And showcasing his talents at various festivals and venues such as ADE 2022, Arzenal Budapest, Kite Ankara, 2020 Eskisehir and many more.
As a university student in Manchester, Mertens continues pushing the boundaries of vintage techno. His sound is a fusion of old-school and fast-paced techno blended with polished mixing techniques, creating a truly unique and artistic rave experience for the listeners.
In 2023 Mertens continues to develop his craft in his studio in Manchester, always striving to create something “never heard before”, inspired by the roots of techno.
